Finite Conjugate Design: object to image with no infinite region in between
another possibility?
Reflecting tube Lens: then can use objective to infinity; can also send in laser through objective (as now)
[other wise, obviously, if we are sending the laser in bouncing off a mirror in the front of the reflecting obj., we need new optics for focussing the laser]

they will get back to me.

1. i am hating powweb

2. this may be a super kludgy work around for images. it seems to be able to accept " paste" and automatically upload to your site.
www.isdntek.com/clicpic.htm

... but only windows; and you have to have the program installed... it cannot sit on the web...

still looking

www.izhuk.com/painter i think. it does everything except PASTE

image test; expect fail

this is wherei'm supposed to type...

and then pasting an image did nothing.
bummer.
this msn spaces seems to support it. and i'm jealous.

how to put google results (like from google calculator)
in a frame

another calculator

though too simple.

quick calcs, columns, ...

Maybe this thing, excel everywhere, is the answer for easyish conversion/calculations
and or simple 2 or 3 column recording.

Mac OS X and Grab

Macintosh computers running OS X include a screen capture utility called
Grab that is quite a bit more versatile that Print Screen. Grab is located
in the Utilities folder inside your Applications folder. Use the menus to
capture the whole screen or just a small section of it. You can even set a
10-second delay so you have time to arrange things on the screen perfectly!

You can also use keyboard shortcuts to snag a screenshot with Grab. At
anytime, press Command-Shift-3 to capture the entire screen or
Command-Shift-4 to drag with the mouse and select a smaller capture
area. Your screenshots will be saved as TIFF files on your desktop. To
save your screenshots to the Clipboard for pasting instead, hold down the
Ctrl key as well (e.g. Command-Shift-Ctrl-3).

*** offline as well as online work required?

**sketching required?

search-ability

want to be able to search lab-book (site)

border="0" ALT="Google">

WWW LabBlog

want maybe also to have hard disk search at the same place? have to find google hard-disk search...

how doyou spell disk/disc?

UPDATE: what about the search box at the top of blogger?? what does it search?

need to remember there are shortcuts

control + b = Bold
control + i = Italic
control + l = Blockquote (when in HTML-mode only)
control + z = Undo
control + y = Redo
control + shift + a = Link
control + shift + p = Preview
control + d = Save as Draft
control + s = Publish Post

disturbing that i may need to use a software other than blogger for this.

in which i try to replace my labbook

so, right.
here goes nothing.
i want to figure out a way to replace my lab book with something more searchable, linkable, etc.

moreover, i want it to become a way to keep annotated bibliographies, linking directly to pdf files/papers with my commentary.

also want to be able to link to data, so its location is never lost.

also want to link to data analysis.

would love to be able to do inline simple tables/simple calculations (pressure vs. membrane pressure, for example; or wavelength->pressure)

want to be able to alt-printscreen then paste to put graphs or images directly into labbookblog

want to be able to sketch.

obviously some of these things are quicker than others.

in addition, it would be nice to be able to better organize paper writing and drafts and figures, but i figure if the data analysis is totally and completely clear, that will be easier. it's certainly LOWER priority.

but. really. the point of this right now is very first order things:
can i approximate something like categories. so i can have one lab book, only one, but i can easily just look at the XX experiment or the YY experiment??

and also, can i easily look at all sorted by various means?

and right away, can i get the settings so i can click on a post and edit it?

well, cool. click and edit totally works! step 0.
